| Rund 3 Kilometer östlich der Albulapasshöhe startet bei Punt Granda der Hüttenweg zur Es-cha Hütte. Von dort einer Moränenrippe entlang an einem malerischen See vorbei in den schuttigen Kessel südöstlich der Porta d'Es-cha. Ketten erleichtern das Erreichen der Scharte. Kurzer Abstieg auf den Vadret da Porchabella und um Spaltenzonen herum an den Nordostsporn des Piz Kesch. Nun 200 Höhenmeter meistens östlich der Gratscheide entlang auf Schutt, Hartschnee und kürzeren Kletterpassagen auf den 3418m hohen Gipfel des Piz Kesch mit gewaltiger Rundsicht (WS).
